Why you need a Day of Coordinator for your Wedding

Many couples do not see the value of a “coordinator,” also known as an “event manager” and “event planner,” for their wedding. Why? They think we are planning their wedding or assume they cannot afford one! We are here to bring your vision to life with our experience and budget-saving expertise.

The number one mistake couples make is to “hire” friends and family who are attending the wedding. Our advice is to please allow them to be guests and enjoy the day just as much as you. Day of Coordinators (DOC) start working from the day they are hired to get all the details right to ensure your day flows.

Here are some main points on why you might need to budget for a DOC:

Extras

They can perform the “extras.” Here is a list of a few:

  • Rehearsal – including the lineup of the bridal party
  • Setup – ceremony, cocktail, and reception and making sure all your decor is where you envisioned it
  • Breakdown – packing your belongings up at the end of the night and making sure they are in a secure place
  • Consulting, ideas, contract review, problem solver

Timeline

An experienced DOC will have a detailed timeline from morning until the end of the event. Note: every seasoned DOC will stay until the end, no matter what.

Vendor

Contract to negotiate and recommend vendors that we have personally worked with and have a fully established relationship with, which ensures you are receiving quality services.

Budget

Ensuring the client stays on track with their budget. You do get what you pay for, so if you don’t have time to do vendor research, please use the knowledge of your DOC.

Friend, Therapist, Consultant

We become your go-to person when a situation arises. If you have questions, concerns, or want to vent, your Day of Coordinators is always there with a sense of calm!
